Taste of the Nation, now with even more tastes

You may remember us telling you about the Concord Food Co-op’s Celery Stick Cafe hot bar tour of the world’s cuisine (we did invite everyone, after all). Well, it’s going to last one week longer, but that just gives you an opportunity to inhale all your favorite dishes one more time.

The tour goes something like this: for 13 consecutive Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Feb. 20 until May 15, the chefs are showcasing a different region’s food on the hot bar.

Dedicated travelers of the food tour get a passport to be stamped upon grabbing some of each week’s grub, and there’s plenty of grub to grab.

Anyway, that’s old news. Here’s the important stuff: the tour has been extended to a 14th week, which will feature a tasty best-of as determined by your taste buds (not like in that stupid Wendy’s commercial, but with your actual taste buds.)

Thursday, May 22 will feature a menu of 10 items that receive the most support. You have the opportunity to vote for your favorite dish each week, and if you call Ryan Seacrest enough times, it just might appear in the top 10 (or it might win American Idol!)

Bonus: don’t skimp on the desserts. Those favorites will make an appearance in a Bakery Box creation for the final week.
