Some summery homemade jam can help make winter more bearable

We bet you could make a lot of jam with those berries (although we should admit we have no idea how many berries it takes to make a jar of jam. Several?)

A few members of the local Philanthropic Educational Organization had themselves a great morning at Carter Hill Orchard’s blueberry field last week. As part of a PEO fundraiser, all the berries will be used for delicious jams the ladies will make to help raise money for their organization. We may or may not have sampled said jam, and it may or may not be ridiculously delicious (hint: we did, it is).

The PEO is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
