Filmmakers Collaborative, presenters of the Boston International Kids Film
Festival, will offer a weeklong filmmaking class for students ages 10-14 from Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7 at Pembroke City Limits, located at 134 Main Street in Suncook.
The class will run daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is designed to give young filmmakers a hands-on introduction to the creative and technical aspects of making a movie. Students will work together in a fun, collaborative environment while learning scriptwriting, storyboard sketching, improvisation, camera skills and editing.
Throughout the week, participants will write, shoot, and edit a short film in a genre of their
choosing. Students will also gain experience using Adobe Premiere, professional editing
software used throughout the film and media industry. All equipment will be provided; students only need to bring their creativity.
Projects completed during the class will be eligible for submission to the 14th Annual Boston International Kids Film Festival, taking place in November 2026.

The Boston International Kids Film Festival is presented by Filmmakers Collaborative, a
nonprofit organization that supports the creation of films and media projects by people of all ages and experience levels. Filmmakers Collaborative offers grants, management, mentoring, and workshops to a diverse national community that includes award-winning PBS documentarians, first-time producers and directors, and young people discovering the power of visual media.
