Two Villages Art Society has announced its first exhibitions of 2026, which will be on display at the Bates Building on the main street of Contoocook.
ย โWe have an exciting and diverse line-up of artists from throughout New Hampshire who work in a wide range of mediums,โ says Two Villages Art Society President Larry Morgan. โSome of these artists are exhibiting for the first time, while others will be more familiar to visitors. We have two member shows as well, with the summer show juried by a prominent member of the art community.โ
Founded in 2019, the non-profit art organization welcomes visitors from the art community, the general public, school groups, and others interested in experiencing art. The gallery also offers frequent workshops, demonstrations, gallery talks and other events. The organization is volunteer-run and relies on membership dues and donations to meet expenses, including rent. The society is committed to supporting artists, and for this reason, charges a much lower sales commission than most other galleries.
The gallery is free and open to the public at 846 Main Street in Hopkintonโs Contoocook Village. Regular gallery hours are 12-4 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. For up-to-date information about the schedule, artists, and other events at the gallery, visitย https://www.twovillagesart.org/.
