White Birch Center is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its long-anticipated expansion project, marking a major milestone in the organizationโ€™s ongoing commitment to serve families, children and seniors in Henniker and the surrounding area.

Beginning the week of November 10, White Birch Center will be completely
renovating the attached barn at the Cornerstone Building, located at 116 Main Street in
Henniker. This project will create a permanent home for the Henniker Food Pantry that will have expanded and dignified display areas, ADA accessibility and more storage room. The construction will also provide space that can be used by the Henniker Youth Athletic
Program, along with office space available for the Henniker Welfare Agent.

โ€œThe vision of White Birch Center is to enrich life and strengthen community. By housing
our Family Resource Center and Senior Program, as well as other service agencies like the
Henniker Food Pantry in a single facility, our community and all its citizens will benefit,โ€ said Marc McMurphy, executive director of White Birch Center.

White Birch Center currently provides childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years,
school-age programming for before and after school children, school-age summer camp,
senior programs and family resource programs.

โ€œWe couldnโ€™t have even considered this expansion without the help of some very generous donors, and we will need the help of the general public to complete the rest. Our capital campaign goal is $3,000,000 and we are happy to report we have raised over $2,200,000 so far. Over the next 8 months, our goal is to raise another $750,000 to $800,000 within the community,” McMurphy added.

White Birch Center invites community members, supporters and partners to join in
celebrating this exciting new chapter. For more information on the plans, capital
