“Old Friends, New Works” features paintings by four local artists whose works will be on view at the Kimball Jenkins Mansion from Friday, August 22 through Saturday, September 27.

The exhibition features works by Tricia Gibbs, Betsy Holmes, TylerAnn Mack and Christine Ryan. All four worked, taught and studied at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester. Their works offer a wide range of subject matter, approaches and techniques — abstractions, plein-air landscapes, cityscapes, still-life works, and more.

While style and subject matter vary greatly, what binds these works and these artists together is their continued dedication to their craft and their shared experience as students and educators.

“Old Friends, New Works” has been curated by Inez McDermott, independent curator and Professor Emerita of Art History at New England College, and Gary Samson, 7th Artist Laureate of New Hampshire and Professor Emeritus of Photography, Institute of Art and Design at New England College.
