The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Concord Young Professionals Network introduces you to our “Young Professional of the Month,” Melissa Vezina. Each month the CYPN Steering Committee recommends a young professional in the community it thinks readers would enjoy getting to know better.

How old are you? 42.

Where do you live? Concord.

Where do you currently work? I’m a real estate agent at Keller Williams Metropolitan with offices in both Concord and Bedford. I’m licensed to practice real estate in all of N.H.

What’s your favorite part of your work day? Helping sellers and buyers on closing day. It means that I’ve successfully coached, mentored and supported another family through the journey of buying or selling their home.

What do you like to do for fun? Yoga and attending networking events so that I can connect with new people. I enjoy volunteering at the Pope Memorial SPCA and attending CYPN events.

Favorite places to be? The beach! Any vacation with my fiancé Drew.

Last book you’ve read?Create a Great Deal: The Art of Real Estate Negotiating by Tim Burrell. I tend to read non-fictional books.

How did you find out about CYPN and how has it benefited your business or you personally? I found out through a Facebook post, actually! I noticed a CYPN event at Rollins Park and decided to go by myself. I was nervous, but everyone was extremely warm and kind, and helped me meet new people. I’ve met great friends and business partners through CYPN and wouldn’t exchange it for the world. It has definitely helped me grow personally.

What organizations are you involved in? Pope Memorial SPCA and CYPN.

Who is your greatest role model? My parents. They’ve always supported me.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Concord? Angelina’s Ristorante Italiano, best Italian food in town.

What’s your favorite place to go in Concord? Downtown Concord! I love all the new work they’ve put into our downtown to bring in more people and business.

Favorite movie of all time? Sweet Home Alabama — I’m a sucker for romance.

What is one of your life goals? Continuing to do what I love, helping people buy and sell their homes which is rewarding in so many ways!

What has been your favorite CYPN event so far? Bank of NH Stage! They did a great job restoring The Concord Theater.

If you could visit any country, where would you go? Italy, for sure!

Who would you really like to meet? Werner Erhard — he is a great speaker and lectures on personal and organizational performance, integrity and leadership. Last year I learned a lot from his lecture at the Landmark, an international training and development company.

Tell us a few interesting facts about yourself! I was born in Idaho, lived in Iceland, Texas and Mississippi, all before I turned 7 years old! My dad was in the Air Force.
