Bookish events abound this week

Gibson’s Bookstore

Join Gibson’s Bookstore on Saturday at 11 a.m. for a special storytime as guest author Josh Judge (yes, the one from WMUR) shares his illustrated children’s book, Be Nice to the Weather Guy, about Judge at the TV station on Christmas eve . . . wishing for snow. And then it comes – boy does the snow ever come down!

Judge will be donating all profits from the book to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).

On Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. (the day this paper comes out), Nathan Searles, a master herbalist, will help you in your foraging for New Hampshire’s reishi mushrooms with his book, The Ancient Reishi: An Exploration into Ganoderma Applanatum.

Concord Library

On Wednesday, head down to the Concord Library for It’s Soup with Keith McCormack.

McCormack is the executive chef at the Concord Food Co-op, where he manages a team of 15 people and puts out some tasty food every day at the hot bar.

He will be doing a cooking demo of two delicious soup recipes, and there will be samples and giveaways. Sounds like a fun time.

Registration is required for the program, so act fast. Call 225-8670 or visit concordpubliclibrary.net//registration to register online.
