Intown Concord is hosting a party

Everyone loves a good party.

And Intown Concord is throwing a good one. Instead of the annual meeting, which has been the past format to show off what the nonprofit has been up to the last year, the new team at Intown decided instead to host a little celebration at Phenix Hall.

“It’s a fun way to highlight the past year of Intown Concord,” said Kate Fleming, events and outreach coordinator for Intown.

And all of you are invited.

The event, All That Jazz, will be held March 23 (that’s a week from this Thursday) from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m., and the great thing is that it’s all free. All you have to do is RSVP.

“It’s going to be fun, but we also have to make sure we have enough space for everyone,” Fleming said. “And we want to know who’s coming.”

The first part of the evening will be meant for networking/socializing, followed by a few remarks from Mayor Jim Bouley, Intown board President Nathan Warecki and Mark Ciborowski of Ciborowski Associates.

Then the final hour will be filled with music by Strings and Things, and food provided by Live Juice, Tandy’s, the Concord Food Co-op and Granite State Candy.

Not only will it be an opportunity to hear all about what the folks at Intown have been up to for the last year – which included a pretty big changeover in leadership – but you can also learn how to help.

“It’s an opportunity to let people know that we’re planning to do a lot more events,” Fleming said. “Intown plays such an important role in helping downtown Concord succeed that we want people to know what we do.”

With Main Street now done and looking all new and good, it’s the perfect time to have a party.

“We’re taking this opportunity to jump on that excitement,” Fleming said.
