Learn to be real funny in Laughta in New Hampsha

Have you, or someone you know, ever wanted to try stand-up comedy? If the answer is yes, then sign up for Laughta in New Hampsha’s second series of comedy workshops.

The six-class workshop will give you all the ammo you need to learn the ins and outs of stand-up comedy writing and performing.

So here are all the details: The workshops begin Feb. 22 and will be held each of the next five Wednesdays at the ConcordTV studio at Concord High School (170 Warren St.) through the end of March. Then you get to put all that you’ve learned to the ultimate test – a live performance. That’s right, all participants will take part in a showcase at Hatbox Theatre on April 2 at 7:30 p.m. It’s too bad the performance wasn’t one day earlier – you know, because of that whole April Fools’ Day thing.

Greg Boggis, a comedian and actor who hosts a monthly performance at Hatbox Theatre and has performed throughout New England and beyond for more than two decades, will teach the workshop, so you’ll be learning from a professional.

Like we said before, the classes will be held on Wednesdays, from Feb. 22 through March 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The workshop costs $150, but can you really put a price tag on being funny? We didn’t think so. It’s also limited to 10 students, so you better sign up soon to make sure you get a spot.

To find out more information, and/or to register for the comedy workshop, email Doris Ballard at contact@nodoproductions.com or call 496- 4966.
