Suncook Valley Chorale to host a pair of open sings

The Suncook Valley Chorale will host its annual fall open sing nights in the Concord High School music room on the next two Mondays (Sept. 12 and 19) at 6:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to join the chorale – or just considering it – is invited to join as the chorale explores its next season’s program, which is monster themed.

You can attend either or both, and bring a friend.

The Suncook Valley Chorale is a non-auditioned community chorus based in Concord, with over 60 active members of all ages and backgrounds. The chorale’s motto is ‘Sing for Joy’ and they joyfully perform a variety of classical and popular pieces, and are led by director Scott Lounsbury and accompanied by pianist Calvin Herst.

The chorale is open to anyone age 14 years and older, and interested in performing a variety of quality music – classical, pop, Broadway and folk. The chorale does not require auditions, only a commitment to attend rehearsals and to learn the music. There will also be an open sing in January.

The chorale rehearsal space is in the Concord High School music room. Enter through the Fruit Street entrance. The chorale rehearses on Monday evenings.
