Tell us about your fantasy

If you’re like us, fantasy football is kind of a big deal when fall rolls around.

It’s actually a surprise that we get any work done once the calendar switches to September with constant watching of the waiver wire, injury updates and trade requests. But we like to pride ourselves on our ability to multitask.

Anyway, fantasy football is a fun way to talk trash with friends, gain bragging rights and make things a little more interesting when you’re watching a Monday night game between the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders (which will actually happen on Nov. 21).

A few years ago, former Monitor and Insider staffers created a league that began as a newsroom thing and expended well past that. And that’s just one of the many leagues we plan to take part in this year.

And with draft day coming up fast, we’ve got to get all our ducks in a row to make sure we get the team that will dominate all year long. If you play, then you know exactly what we’re talking about.

But the real point of this is not to tell you how much we love playing fantasy football (which we do), it’s to hopefully find out a little bit more about your fantasy endeavors.

That’s right, we want to do something with fantasy football leagues in Concord this year. Whether you play with a group of friends or coworkers, we want to know about it.

It could be a single story or a series, depending how much info we get. That’s where all of you come in.

If you run a league or just participate, and want to tell us all about it, send an email to news@theconcordinsider.com with Fantasy Football in the subject line. Tell us a little bit about your league: how long it’s been running, how many players are involved and what are the stakes – especially if it’s one of those cool leagues where the loser has to get a tattoo of the winner’s choosing. And don’t forget to put your name and how best to contact you.

Now it’s up to you. This story is dependent on submissions so get those fingers typing and if we get enough interest, there will be a story coming real soon. So make sure to keep an eye out for it.
