The circle of life is in full swing over at Cole Gardens.

A few weeks ago, we went over there to check out the little butterfly sanctuary they had just installed – there’s a tent out in front of the building with 12 monarch butterflies inside.

The goal was to have these bugs mate and produce hundreds more of the important pollinators.

After a little mishap with the first batch of butterflies, things are finally going according to plan.

Owner Charlie Cole sent us over some photos of where things stand as of last week, and it looks like some progress has been made.

The top photo shows a male and female engaged in a certain kind of dance. How nice of them to allow photographs to be taken. The bottom photo shows the result – eggs. Stay tuned for more updates!
