The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Concord Young Professionals Network (CYPN) introduces you to another “Young Professional of the Month,” Bryanna Marceau.

How old are you? 33

Where do you live? I have lived in the Greater Concord area since 2012. I love it here!

Where do you work? I started working at Maurices, a women’s fashion retailer, part time in 2003 and have been employed there full time since. My job has brought me all over the country, but my current store is in the Steeplegate Mall in Concord.

Where did you go to school? I grew up in Merrimack. I graduated from Keene State College in 2005 with a B.S. in education and a B.A. in social sciences.

What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy being with my family and friends, whether we are spending time outside, playing cards or watching a band play. My husband and I also enjoy going on Sunday drives to various general stores and diners around the state.

Favorite places to be? Outside of where we live, I love traveling to the seacoast and the White Mountains.

Last book you read? Wildflower by Drew Barrymore.

How did you find out about CYPN and how has it benefitted your business or you personally? I first heard of CYPN through the chamber of commerce when I relocated here five years ago. In the beginning, CYPN members helped me learn more about the area as I began recruiting a new team and marketing my store’s grand opening. Over the years, CYPN has given me the opportunity to connect with a variety of people on both a personal and professional level.

What organizations are you involved with? I most recently joined the CYPN Steering Committee. I’m excited to give back to the Concord YP community. I also support Cure SMA.

Most inspirational person in your life? One of the things I love most about my job is that I get to meet new people every day who inspire me. It’s amazing how much we can learn from one another when we take the time to engage in conversation.

Greatest role model? I am grateful to have many role models over the course of my life, but from a very young age I have always looked up to my grandparents, David and Gerry. They taught me to work hard, be kind, give back and enjoy the simple things in life.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Concord? I’m a big fan of the burrito bowl at Dos Amigos. I’m also excited that one of my favorite breakfast places, Tucker’s, has opened a location in Concord.

What’s your favorite place to go in Concord? I love visiting Arnie’s on Loudon Road. I also enjoy going to the Everett Arena to watch local hockey games.

Favorite movie of all time? I’ve always loved the movie Big.

What is one of your life goals? Personally, I think it would be fun to be on a TV game show! Professionally, I would like to expand my network in Concord and throughout New Hampshire.

What has been your favorite CYPN event so far? Most recently, I enjoyed the event at NHPR. The event was well attended and was complete with a full tour of the studio.

Favorite famous person? Freddie Mercury of Queen.

If you could visit any country, where would you go? There’s a lot I’d still like to see in the United States. One day I hope to drive along Route 66.

Where is the best place you’ve visited? My favorite trip was a visit to the Pacific Northwest, starting in Seattle, and going as far north as Whistler, British Columbia. Whistler (and the scenic drive there) is absolutely breathtaking! Vancouver is also an interesting city. We were able to rent bicycles and rode along the coast all day.

Tell us a few interesting facts about yourself!

I can recite the alphabet backwards in under 3 seconds. I’m sure this talent will be useful someday. I used to sing in an a cappella group. For the past few years, we have been tapping maple trees on our property and have made our own maple syrup.
