The Art of Murder

Mystery

PI Helen Hawthorne is taking a tour of Fort Lauderdale’s Bonnet House Museum when she meets a group of art students. Unfortunately, one of the art students passes out, is taken to the hospital and dies. Was she murdered? Was her ex-husband, who was one of the other art students, the one who poisoned her tea? Helen is hired to find the answers, even as the police investigate the death. At the same time, her partner and husband, Phil, is hired to find the thief stealing gold coins from residents of some of the high-rise retirement condos in Fort Lauderdale.

Another great entry in the Helen Hawthorne Dead End Job series, with quirky characters, a fast-paced plot, and some digs about the condo-ification of Fort Lauderdale. A quick and fun read.
