Destination Imagination went to the Global Finals

A few weeks ago, we told you about three local Destination Imagination teams who were getting ready to go to the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn.

These kids had been working all school year to perfect their skits to compete against thousands of other students from the world over on a big stage.

Well, since our boss wouldn’t sign off an an Insider trip to Tennessee so we could watch in person, we had to utilize our greatest asset to find out the results: the internet.

The Noisy Narwhals from Bow Memorial School tied for 13th overall in the elementary level Close Encounters contest, in which 75 teams competed from around the world.

The BEEP team, made up of high-schoolers from Bow, came in 11th out of 66 in their secondary level In Plain Sight category.

The Wowzers team from Concord Christian Academy tied for 35th in the middle level In Plain Sight category.

Although none of these teams took home the top honors, all of them gave it their best and did the Insider’s coverage region proud!
