N.H. Association for the Blind offers low vision evals

The New Hampshire Association for the Blind, in partnership with Dr. Kristen Bryant from Concord Eye Center, will begin holding monthly low vision evaluations.

This functional eye exam focuses directly on how a particular person’s vision impairment affects day-to-day living. Ultimately, the evaluation serves to assist people who are partially sighted to use their remaining vision more effectively through the prescribing and training of low vision aids and devices.
The N.H. Association for the Blind and Concord Eye Center believe that although vision loss is a growing problem, having compromised vision does not mean that a compromised life waits. With the right help, people who are blind or visually impaired can live full, rich lives.

Beginning Sept. 10 and continuing on the second Thursday of each month, the association will offer these low vision evaluations. An appointment is necessary and can be made by calling the association directly at 224-4039.
