Discover Downtown sidewalk sale Aug. 8

Summer vacation may be coming to a close, but not summer fun! On Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., join family, friends and fellow shoppers in downtown Concord, and enjoy more than a mile of savings with the Discover Downtown Happy Birthday Sidewalk Sale.

The downtown-wide sidewalk sale will help kick off Concord’s 250th birthday celebration week.

Shoppers will find a fun and festive shopping day throughout downtown Concord, including sizzling summer savings and specials at select businesses – plus raffles, refreshments, entertainment and maybe even a party game or two. For added fun, shoppers will pick up their very own birthday goodie bag and visit participating businesses to fill it with coupons and party favors (no purchase necessary).

More than 30 downtown businesses have signed up so far, each offering its own specials and summer savings to commemorate and celebrate Concord’s 250th birthday. Shoppers will also enjoy the new pedestrian-friendly east side of North Main Street, see the progress on the west side and explore a few new stores on downtown’s charming side streets.

Downtown is also host to a fantastic farmers’ market (8:30 a.m. to noon on Capitol Street) and the Concord Arts Market (9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bicentennial Square), so there’s no better summer Saturday to “make a day of it” in downtown Concord!
