Discovery Center to begin summer hours

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center begins its summer hours on Saturday, June 20. Through Aug. 31, the Discovery Center will be open every day, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with special summer programs, new planetarium shows, new exhibits, weekday summer day camps and gallery activities for all ages.

The Discovery Center will offer summer day camps in science and engineering for kids ages 5–14 in July and August, with topics ranging from space exploration to rockets to 3D printing. Aviation and space programs for teens and families on the first Friday nights in July and August round out a summer filled with stellar adventures.

The Discovery Center will be closed on the 4th of July.
