Chamber’s legislative luncheon set for Feb. 12

Join your fellow businesses and community leaders for the 2015 Legislative Outlook Luncheon, presented by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 172 N. Main St. The cost of the event is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for nonmembers, and includes lunch. The event is sponsored by Hinckley Allen.

From Medicaid expansion to minimum wage, get two informed perspectives on the big issues our legislators are wrestling with this year. Guest speakers Charlie Arlinghaus of The Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy and Jeff McLynch of the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute will offer their unique perspective about what’s happening at the State House – what bills are hot, what’s not and what we can expect as this legislative session gets under way.

Arlinghaus is president of The Josiah Bartlett Center, New Hampshire’s free market think tank. He writes a weekly column on public policy for the New Hampshire Union Leader. His policy research covers a broad range of state policy including education, health care and fiscal policy.

McLynch is the executive director of the NH Fiscal Policy Institute, where he manages the organization’s daily operations and oversees its research, communications and outreach efforts. He previously served as the state policy director at the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, where he helped coordinate its efforts to provide policymakers and the public with accurate and timely information on tax systems across the U.S.
