Six-week sustainability series at Vrinda Center

There will be a six-week series of discussions about sustainability facilitated by Peter Flora at the Vrinda Center, beginning Jan. 7 through Feb. 11. Theme-based discussions will focus on the shortcomings of current global, national and local efforts to achieve sustainability and environmental responsibility as well as the need to address issues related to the CO2 tipping point.

The first meeting will offer a general overview of the current state of sustainability – what is not currently being done, what challenges we face, and what steps we can take as inpiduals to address these challenges.

The six themes include: What is the current state of sustainability? An overview (Jan. 7); The inpidual or lifestyle approach (Jan. 14); Integrative Sustainability: A societal perspective (Jan. 21); The impact of political power on influencing sustainability policy (Jan. 28); Exercising democracy to achieve sustainability (Feb. 4); The role of spiritual and holistic practices in deepening awareness about sustainability (Feb. 11).
