We rely on computers for a lot in our line of work – typing articles, creating a newspaper layout, getting back rubs while we slave away at our desks. Sadly, though, the machines have a life span, and sometimes you have to say goodbye to a trusty member of the team.
Sometimes those trusty team members remain in your line of sight on a daily basis, though, as was the case for Kim Galbraith at the Concord Monitor. So she decided to ensure that this group of computer monitors received a proper burial.
They passed away surrounded by family, primarily the 45 twin brothers and sisters in the downstairs portion of the Concord Monitor building. They were considered very bright from a young age, loved to read, and always had a certain glow about them. They were predeceased by countless squatter, much heavier cousins.
Private services will be held at the Monitor office whenever someone decides to come by and pick them up, and they’ll be placed in the large electronics graveyard within the building.
