Ballard’s is clearly aware that ice cream and mini golf are a perfect pair

We found the Rotary’s mini golf hole from Market Days at Ballard’s this week. We also curiously found ice cream in our hands and less money in our wallets when we left.

Ballard’s Ice Cream in the South End apparently does a lot more than sell delicious ice cream – it also provides a good home for abandoned super tiny mini golf holes.

One of the funnest (is funnest a word?) new additions at Market Days this year was the mini golf course, complete with a dozen really short – and disproportionately challenging – holes created by local businesses and organizations. But rather than send the inpidual holes out to pasture once the event was over, Intown Concord had the foresight to auction them off. And Ballard’s was more than happy to adopt at least one. It’s just natural, we guess, since every mini golf joint we’ve ever visited has ice cream. When we stopped by this week we found the Rotary’s hole available for a few putts, so swing through for a cone and stay to play a round.
