Stuffed animals needed for Concord Hospital

A stuffed animal in the hospital can be an instant communication bridge between pediatric patients and staff. It can cause an unfamiliar environment to seem welcoming and comfortable, and encourage pediatric patients to continue being playful children, even in the face of illness or injury.

Being able to offer a brand new stuffed animal to a child in the hospital is a small act that provides a huge comfort. Often times, a hospital visit isn’t planned, and in many cases a child’s favorite stuffed animal or comfort item is left at home. While a new stuffed animal can’t take the place of a well-loved item from their own bedroom, it can help to bring a little bit of familiarity to a place full of new faces and experiences.

Donations of new stuffed animals for pediatric patients at Concord Hospital are now being accepted. Drop-off boxes are located in the Gregory Grappone main lobby and third floor visitor lobby at Concord Hospital.
