Burgers and hot dogs are pretty high on the list of things we enjoy (moderation shmoderation). Even higher, though, are great causes like Best Buddies New Hampshire. So you can imagine our excitement when we found out we could experience both passions at the same time pretty soon.

Lucky’s Barbershop is hosting a barbecue to raise money for the Best Buddies program, which works to create social change for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The barbecue will take place May 31 from 7 a.m. to noon outside Lucky’s at 50 S. State. St., and a $20 donation will get you a sweet T-shirt, as well as a soda and a hamburger or a hot dog. The guys at Lucky’s will also be donating a portion of the haircuts that day to the cause. Of course, any additional donations to Best Buddies will be welcome and appreciated.

The barbecue comes a week ahead of Best Buddies major fundraiser, the Friendship Walk in downtown June 7. For more info, visit bestbuddiesnewhampshire.org.
