Granite United Way event tonight at Capitol Center

Granite United Way’s Merrimack County Region will host its Annual Celebration today at the Capitol Center for the Arts from 5 to 7 p.m.

In addition to highlighting the success of this year’s fundraising campaign, the organization will also be recognizing supporters who have been contributing for 10 years, their Loyal Contributors.

“Our loyal contributors are essential supporters that have a passion for the power of giving,” said Patrick Tufts, President and CEO of Granite United Way. “In the Merrimack County Region we have over 700 loyal contributors. That’s 700 dedicated friends and neighbors who, through their dollars, commit every year, for decades in some cases, to improving their community by supporting programs that promote education, income stability, and health.”

Campaign awards to be presented include: Employee Campaign Coordinators of the year: Kevin and Jo Brooks of St. Pauls School; The 2013 GIVE Award: Sanel Auto Parts; 2013 ADVOCATE Award: Penacook Community Center; 2013 VOLUNTEER Award: Art Letendre.
