Statewide meeting of business leaders Feb. 11

N.H. Jump$tart Coalition is organizing a statewide meeting of business leaders on Feb. 11 at the Grappone Conference Center.

The Forum on the Financial Literacy of N.H. Families and Workers will review creative ideas and proven strategies for sharing existing financial literacy and consumer information to residents of the Granite State.

Marc Hebert, president of the Harbor Group, Inc. and host of “Marc Hebert’s Money $ense” on WGIR-AM 610 & News Radio 96.7, will moderate the forum. Dr. Michael Staten from the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Arizona will keynote the event.

The February event is a follow up to the first Forum of Financial Literacy which was held in 2013 with over 100 business leaders in attendance. At that event, participants learned about the impact of financial stress on New Hampshire workers and discussed how financial education can be one solution for positively impacting the workplace and the next generation of workers.

The Financial Literacy Forum will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The cost is $30 per person, and includes breakfast, but advanced registration is required. Business leaders interested in learning more should contact Dan Hebert at 731-1812 or dhebert@nhjumpstart.org.
