Scholarships available to NOFA-NH Conference

Beginning farmer scholarships are now available to the 2014 NOFA-NH Winter Conference on Feb. 1-2 at Rundlett Middle School.

Beginning farmers are those who have been actively farming for fewer than 10 years.

The NOFA-NH Winter Conference is an opportunity for NH farmers of all stripes, and with various levels of experience, to come together and learn from one another, and from other farmers and experts from around New England.

This year, the second day of the conference focuses on production organic agriculture, and is comprised of ten three-hour intensive sessions, that include an hour long facilitated モfarmer to farmerヤ component, wherein attendees get to voice ideas, experiences and opinions, as well as discuss lingering questions about the session topic. The farmer to farmer component of the session provides an opportunity for attendees to share their expertise and experience, and to connect with one another over shared interests.
