Concord’s New Front Door to be discussed

Last May, the Creative Concord Committee of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce hosted a city-wide brainstorming charrette to help generate fresh ideas about ways to improve Concord’s image, specifically the view that travelers see from I-93.

Apart from the capitol dome and a few church steeples, the view they get of the city gives no hint of what a great downtown we have.

The questions posed to those who attended included: How do we create a favorable impression of Concord from I-93 that compels people to leave the highway and come downtown, what are long-term possibilities and what could we do easily now, and how can we create an attractive gateway to downtown?

The images and ideas that were generated from that session will be presented to the public at a special event on Nov. 19, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Grappone Conference Center.

There is no cost to attend the event, hosted by The Duprey Companies and is open to the public.

Please RSVP at info@concordnhchamber.com or contact the Chamber of Commerce at 224-2508 for more information.
