The Capital Quilters Guild will meet at Havenwood, 33 Christian Ave., on Oct. 11 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. All quilters are welcome. Our special guest will be Tracy Szanto, local fiber artist, long-arm quilter and owner of Dreamland Machine Quilting in Penacook. Tracy will teach a workshop Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be a fun exercise focused on drawing, painting and quilting of a variety of flowers (no drawing skills required); blocks can be incorporated into any number of decorative items.
