Bulletin Board: Concord’s Morrison among New Hampshire artists in new display at Mill Brook Gallery until December

Mill Brook Gallery will display the “Got ART Talent” gallery from Oct. 3 to Dec. 24, with an opening reception Oct. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Featured artists include Concord’s Laura Morrison, as well as Beartiz Bearden, Rosemary Conroy, Charlie Goodwin, Michael Lemire, William McLane, Emily Moore, Richard Moore, Fleur Palau, Michael Roundy, Adele Sanborn and William C. Turner.
Morrison combines traditional fiber art techniques such as felting, embroidery, crochet and knitting with repurposed wool to create work based on natural and biological forms, creating artwork in color and texture.
The New Hampshire region boasts a tremendous variety of visual artists. They keep quietly working away in their studios day-by-day with little fanfare, dedicating themselves to the creative spirit. Several have had other careers such as nursing, airline attendant, commercial illustrator, and promoter of land conservation. They now enjoy a passion for the arts. This exhibit showcases a variety of art work from 12 local artists – two and three dimensional, realistic and abstract – that will certainly impress you. Come and see what your neighbors are up to!
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by appointment. Mill Brook Gallery is located at 236 Hopkinton Road. For more information, visit themillbrookgallery.com or call 226-2046.
