Bulletin Board: Annual fall bulb sale runs through Sept. 11

Remember back in April, when you looked at your yard and thought, “Hmm I think some daffodils and tulips would like nice there?” The Merrimack County Conservation District’s fall bulb sale is just the place to find those beautiful bulbs that would look great in your spring garden!

This year we’re offering an assortment of daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, iris, alliums, and specialty bulbs. All bulbs have a hardiness zone of at least zone 5, some even down to zone 2, to ensure that they will survive our New England winters.

Orders will be taken through Sept. 11.  People will be able to pick up their orders at the MCCD office (10 Ferry St., Suite 211) on Oct. 3 from 1 to 6 p.m. and Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., just in time to get those bulbs planted before the first severe frost.

You can download an order form, color guide, and bulb description guide on our website at merrimackccd.org or call the office at 223-6023 to have one mailed to you.
