Name: Korran Rivers

Member of Tony’s, the winning A Division team in the Concord Men’s Basketball League.

What was your most memorable moment/game of the season?

This one. This one was great, I’ll never forget it.

Who was the toughest player you faced this year?

Jose. He played for New Heights Roofing (the team Tony’s beat in the championship game).

How does this stack up with the other sports achievements in your life?

It’s right up there.

How long have you been playing basketball? Did you play in high school or college?

I played in high school, and I played in college at Merrimack College. I played overseas, too; I played pro in Austria.

Describe your game or your role on the floor.

To (tick) people off on my team. That’s my main role, just to scream at guys. They hate my guts.

If we were playing horse, what would your first shot be?

A dunk.

More crooked: NBA refs, college refs, or rec league refs?

Come on, that’s a loaded question. I’ll say NBA refs. (Concord league organizer and referee Andy) Pappas does an awesome job.

What NBA player is your game similar to?

Kobe is my favorite player. I don’t know if I can say I am trying to emulate Kobe, but he’s my favorite player.

Will you be back for the 2013-14 season?

I’ll play forever. I’m going to play until I can’t play anymore.

Do you play other sports? What other sport do you wish you played?

I do mixed martial arts, just for fun. If I could play anything, I’d play cricket. I’ve never done it before.

Hidden talent?

I speak French.

Guilty pleasure?

Watching The Walking Dead.
