Feb. 2 Benefit concert at Fun Intelligent Training

Fun Intelligent Training will host a benefit concert in support of juvenile diabetes research Feb. 2 beginning at 7 p.m. The evening will include a silent auction with more than 60 items donated from area businesses and contributors and free chair massages from a member of FIT.

This will be the second annual concert, following an event last year that came about when musician Matt Poirier, whose son was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, joined forces with Eric Marsh, owner of FIT, to raise money. Poirier will be playing, as will Mike Sullivan, Mary Fagan, Jared Steer and Chris Candito. Local musician Lucas Gallo will be performing a special guest solo acoustic set to open.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert set to kick off at 7 p.m. Among the items available at the silent auction are gift cards between $25 and $50 to stores and restaurants in the area, a bird feeder, lift tickets to several area mountains, and tickets to a Jason Aldean concert.

Money is also being raised with the help of Uno’s. Visit Uno’s on the night of the concert or Feb. 6 and mention the FIT benefit for juvenile diabetes research and a portion of the cost of your meal will go toward the cause.

Tickets to the concert are $25 per person. Email jim@funintelligenttraining.com, stop by the gym at 30 Henniker St. or call 715-5019.
