Gale Biography in Context offers “one-stop shopping” for a variety of biographical source materials about persons in many fields and from time periods as far back as Ancient Greece and Rome.
The site is easy to navigate and offers the full text of encyclopedia entries, and newspaper, magazine and academic journal articles with full citations. Each entry even includes an audio version of the text! Many pages include images, video, audio interviews and links to other websites. Over 525,000 persons are included and the website is updated daily to account for awards and events.
To locate and use this resource, start at CPL's website, concordpubliclibrary.net, from there click the “Online Library” link in the left-hand pane. Scroll down the page of resources listed alphabetically to Gale Biography in Context. Click on the link in the description and enter all the numbers under your library card bar code to begin searching the database.
