Welcome to our green commute issue!

We didn't have a lot of space in this week's issue, so we'll keep it brief.

Those who picked up a copy, let's address the giant elephant on page 2: In the unlikely case you hadn't noticed, We've hijacked the space typically reserved for everyone's favorite comic, “Coffee and Main.”

Okay, now take a breath. And release. Everything is going to be fine. We haven't gotten rid of Estelle or the rest of the gang, but, after a long week at the coffee shop, they've decided to go on vacation. Where? I'm not sure. You'll have to tune in next week to find out.

Next on the docket, we'd like to announce an exciting new addition to The Insider. Patrick Gamble, who hails from Boscawen and attends Colby-Sawyer College, joined the crew last week. We think you'll like him, and his tales from the trolley featured in this issue.

Lastly, a big thanks to Monitor news artist Charlotte Thibault, who designed this week's center spread. She mapped out all the routes planned for Green Commute Week, and critics agree: It looks great. We think you'll agree.
