Cruise on down to the Cruisin' the Berry Old Days Strawberry Festival on June 27 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Bow Mills United Methodist Church, 505 South St., Bow. The church will open its doors and grounds to make way for food, vendor displays, classic cars, children's activities, music and strawberries, strawberries, strawberries!

Festival highlights include, a strawberry delights bake sale, pie judging contest and the Ye Old Country Feast featuring chocolate dipped strawberries, ham, baked beans, coleslaw, corn-on-the-cob, corn and brown bread, strawberry lemonade and strawberry shortcake for dessert. There will be three seatings throughout the day at 1, 4:30 and 6 p.m. The cost is $10, $5 for children 6-12 and free for children younger than 5. Reservations are recommended.

In addition to all the tasty tidbits, there will be classic cars on display, wellness care practitioners on hand to provide information on chiropractic care, massage therapy, healthy diets and exercise, karate demonstrations, the Bow Fire Department and Police Explorer Post, live music, live animals and “The Berry Patch for Kids” featuring kids games and activities, and a “berried” treasure scavenger hunt for children and adults. And, of course, strawberry shortcake will round out your day at our festival!
