Allenstown Allenstown is holding the second Annual Halloween Lighting Contest, which will run from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15 to register your home for decorations and vote on the best decorations. Oct. 28, 1906: The New York World reports that Mary Baker Eddy of Concord is mentally and physically unfit to lead the 800,000-member Christian Science church, which she founded.
