New London’s Center for the Arts (CFA) is pleased to host “Emergence,” a juried exhibition showcasing the work of CFA Member Artists through June 27 at the CFA Members Gallery in New London.
“Emergence” highlights artwork inspired by themes of transformation, renewal,
and the shifting energy that arrives as spring moves toward summer. The exhibition
reflects both the natural transition from cold to warmth and the creative momentum
that grows within a supportive arts community.
This yearโs exhibition features works by Peter Anderson, Jane Ashley, Denise
Backman, Deborah Bacon, Mary Borowski, Phil Byfield, Sara Byfield, Doug Carey, Clare
Castleberry, Cindi Rose Chagaris, Elizabeth DโAmico, Jay Fitzpatrick, Barry Fougere,
Sandra Grant, Jill Hacking, Jack Harkins, Karen Haskell, Vicki Koron, Paula Meskimen,
Lucy Mueller, Larry Osmer, Sara Rae, Yvonne Shukovsky, Alan Shulman, Jean Twombly,
Alison Vernon and Mimi Wiggin.
“Emergence” speaks to the moment when creativity opens back up โ when artists
reconnect with color, light, and one another. It is a celebration of growth, resilience,
and the shared spirit that defines our arts community.
The exhibition also coincides with CFAโs annual โArt in Bloom Celebration,โ taking place June 12โ14 in partnership with local garden clubs and florists, who will create floral interpretations inspired by selected works from the show.
The CFA Members Gallery is located at 428 Main Street in New London and is open
Thursday through Saturday, 1-5 p.m., or by appointment.
The Center for the Arts supports, promotes, and connects literary, performing and visual artists of all ages with our community. We offer three guilds, member groups and gatherings, community events and programs, exhibits and classes. For the past 15
years, the CFA has championed creativity as a vital part of life in the Lake Sunapee
region and beyond.
