Concordโ€™s own Community Players begin their 98th season with an impressive line-up of
shows coming to Concord City Auditorium. October 17 & 18 will raise the curtain on the
30th season of our Childrenโ€™s Theatre Workshop, featuring a cast of 36, ages 8 to 16, in the
musical “Something Rotten! Jr.,” taken from the Broadway hit. Nick and Nigel Bottom
(Connor Weeks and Daniel Devine) are out to compete with rock-star writer Will
Shakespeare (AJ Soares) and wind up inventing the first musical. Karen Braz directs, with
musical direction by Tony Bonjorno and choreography by Caleb Anderson.

The main stage season of adult-cast shows begins on November 21, 22, 23 with “The
Addams Family.” Directed by Betsey Cox-Buteau, this macabre and hilarious favorite
presents a topsy-turvy evening when Wednesday Addams brings home a โ€œnormalโ€
boyfriend. Christopher Graham and Nora McBurnett embody the roles of Gomez and
Morticia Addams, with Wednesday and Pugsley played by Annie Lelio and Emmett Smith.
The show also features Ben Hunton as Uncle Fester, Alex Hunton and Christie Conticchio
as the boyfriendโ€™s (Connor Buttโ€™s) โ€œnormalโ€ parents, plus a full cast. Music and Lyrics by
Andrew Lippa and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, based on the iconic Charles
Addams characters. Musical direction provided by Michael Shaw and choreography by Ally
Thorpe.

The Players’ February show will be a brand new take on “Sherlock Holmes, Ms. Holmes &
Ms. Watson โ€“ Apt. 2B” by Kate Hamill. Auditions will be held on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 (info
soon on our website below). Directed by Vicky Sandin (“Pride and Prejudice”), the show
dates are Feb. 13, 14 and 15.

Concluding the season will be the drama “To Kill A Mockingbird,” adapted by Christopher
Sergel from Harper Leeโ€™s famous novel โ€“ auditions are March 1 & 2, with performances on
May 1, 2, 3, 2026. Elizabeth Lent (“Murder on the Orient Express”) will direct.
