Optima Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics is pleased to announce the opening of a new practice in New Hampshire, located at 171 Pleasant St., Suite 101 in Concord. The location is scheduled to open in January 2026.

The opening of the Concord practice marks Optima Dermatology’s twelfth location in total, and eighth in New England, with others in Manchester, NH, Stratham, NH, Portsmouth, NH, Bedford, NH, Salem, NH, Scarborough, ME and York, ME. Optima Dermatology looks forward to serving patients in Concord and the surrounding communities, continuing its mission to create greater access to expert dermatology care in the region.

Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Andrew Kim will join Optima Dermatology in Concord and begin to see patients in January 2026, with board-certified dermatologist Dr. Andrew Werchniak set to start in March.

Dr. Kim and Dr. Werchniak deliver medical and surgical dermatology services to patients of all ages and are both committed to providing the highest quality of care, an approach that is aligned with Optima’s mission to treat every patient the way we would treat family and friends.

Dr. Kim specializes in medical and surgical dermatology, focusing on comprehensive skin health and complex dermatologic conditions. He has been providing dermatologic care in the Concord area since 2017 and is routinely recognized for his clinical excellence.

Dr. Kim is consistently recognized for his clinical excellence, having been named a Castle
Connolly Rising Star / Top Doctor since 2021. Dr. Kim was also featured as a Top Doctor by
New Hampshire Magazine in 2024 and 2025. He is a contributor to dermatology research,
having been published in numerous medical journals and book chapters throughout his career.

Dr. Kim serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Geisel School of
Medicine at Dartmouth and is a past president of the New Hampshire Society of Dermatology. Dr. Kim is excited to provide industry-leading dermatology services in Central New Hampshire and continue his commitment to dermatological care.

Dr. Werchniak has been providing medical dermatology services since 2004 and is deeply
committed to skin cancer prevention and treatment. He has held numerous leadership roles, including founding the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship Program and serving as its Program Director.

He was also the medical director of the Institute’s Skin Cancer Screening Program, and Associate Director for the Medicine/Dermatology Residency in the Harvard combined Dermatology Residency Program.

In recognition of his expert care, Dr. Werchniak received the Castle Connolly Top Doctors
Award from 2019 to 2020 and is consistently named a Top Doctor by New Hampshire
Magazine. Dr. Werchniak sees this opportunity at Optima Dermatology’s newest practice as an extension of his passion for patient care and helping individuals navigate often complex skin issues or treatments.
