Meet Madison Hendrick, the Concord Young Professionals Networkโs November Young Professional of the Month. 30-year-old Hendrick is helping shape New Hampshireโs future workforce as the partnership manager for work-based learning at Xello. In her role, she connects area businesses with students to explore early career advancement opportunities. A proud resident of the Concord area, a Leadership Greater Concord graduate and a local charity board member, Hendrick stays connected to the Capital Region and its robust young professional network.
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do. Xello is a college and career readiness program that, through a partnership with the New Hampshire Department of Education and Granite Edvance, is available to all high schools (public, private, and
charter) as well as adult education centers across the state at no cost. My role is to help connect New Hampshire businesses with eager students who are looking to explore their interests and gain hands-on exposure to potential career pathways early. These range from internships, job shadows, part-time employment, volunteer opportunities, and much more!
Q: Why do you choose to live in the Greater Concord area? Greater Concord is such a welcoming and vibrant community. The downtown offers great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and unique small businesses. I also love that I can enjoy so many convenient
amenities while still being close to the lakes, mountains and ocean. It feels like the perfect blend of rural and city living, which is something I really value.
Q: Whatโs your favorite memory in Concord? One of my favorite memories in Concord is graduating from the Leadership Greater Concord Class of 2025 (the best class ever). It was an incredible experience. From touring downtown and learning about the cityโs rich history to doing a ride-along with the Concord Police Department and visiting the businesses that keep our community running, every part of the program was memorable. I highly recommend it!
Q: Where did you go to school? I went through the Shaker Regional School District (Canterbury and Belmont) before attending Lakes Region Community College for my Associate’s and then moving to Southern New Hampshire University to complete my Bachelor’s in Social Psychology.
Q: Last book youโve read? I am currently reading โTiny Beautiful Thingsโ by Cheryl Strayed. I normally stick to fiction novels, so this is different for me, but Iโve enjoyed reading the short letters and responses. It is a love letter to being human, flawed, and looking for answers.
Q: How did you find out about Concord Young Professionals Network and how has it benefitted you? Prior to my transition to Xello, I worked as the manager of member engagement at the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. I was fortunate to work with CYPN on many events and initiatives and build a really strong network that has supported me through my career and personal development.
Q: What organizations are you involved with? I serve on the Board of Speedway Childrenโs Charities at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. I support marketing and communication efforts and volunteer at events throughout the year to help raise funds for non-profits across New England. I then get to participate in the grant application process, meeting folks that are doing amazing work in our communities.

Q: Who is your greatest role model? My grandmother, Susan. She worked at Canterbury Elementary School for many years and continues to be a strong contributor to our community, always supporting the people around her. She taught me how to always show up with kindness and empathy, which has benefited me greatly.
Q: Whatโs your favorite restaurant in Concord? There are so many amazing spots, but I recently went to the new Haley & Bear at the DoubleTree downtown and had some of the most amazing appetizers!
Q: Whatโs your favorite place to go in Concord? A trip to Concord isnโt complete without a trip to Gibsonโs Bookstore.
Q: Favorite movie of all time? “Pride and Prejudice” (2005) is my comfort movie to have playing in the background while I work on projects, when I am sick, or when I need a little bit of joy.
Q: What has been your favorite CYPN event so far? There have been so many amazing events. I always love the Holiday Business After Hours with the Chamber, as it brings together CYPN with Chamber members and raises funds for the Capitol Region Food Program.
Q: Where is the best place youโve visited? I traveled to Europe with People 2 People when I was in middle school, and each country was beautiful and filled with rich history, but I canโt wait to go back to Ireland and Belgium.
