The world is a nicer place because of these students

In December at Rundlett Middle School, at a time when most kids were thinking about what they were going to get for Christmas, a number of students took part in PRIDE Bingo, a game that required one to do good deeds for others and not think of oneself. Pictured are some of the more than 130 students who completed a minimum combination of three rows, columns or diagonals of activities.

Students had to complete a bingo card featuring selfless acts, like “say something nice to someone,” “help your teacher clean up the classroom” and “invite someone new to sit at your table in the cafeteria during lunch.”

The center square was “A good deed of my own design,” where students got to be creative.
The rules were simple, and required some honesty: Complete at least three rows of activities in a week’s time and place an X in the box featuring each activity, then turn in your card at the end of the week.

PRIDE is a Rundlett initiative focused on Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Excellence.
