Some things to consider before hopping onto your snowmobile

It's time to sign up for snowmobile education classes offered across the state. To operate a snowmobile in New Hampshire, any person older than 12 must have either a valid motor vehicle driver's license or have successfully completed an approved off-highway recreational vehicle safety education class taught by volunteer instructors trained by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Scrapbooking time!

Barbara Perkins, Creative Memories consultant, will be conducting a fundraiser at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, 545 Route 101, Bedford, on Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. She will be demonstrating digital scrapbooking as well as how to make photo gifts, such as T-shirts, mugs and more. Fifteen percent of all sales will go to the league. Barbara will also give the shelter 15 percent of all orders placed on her website through Nov. 21. Christmas at Canterbury

Canterbury Shaker Village offers a return to traditional Christmas with its second annual Christmas at Canterbury, Saturdays, Dec. 5 and 12, 3 to 8 p.m. The event is sponsored by Merrimack Savings Bank and New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.
