Got scholarships? These ladies do!

Kathleen Greenley and Tami Webster have each been awarded a $600 scholarship from the Zonta Club of Concord to be applied to tuition at NHTI in the spring semester. Kathleen is a general studies major with a 4.0 grade point average. She hopes to enter the nursing program. Kathleen works full-time at Quest Diagnostics while attending NHTI in the evenings. She is married and has two sons, ages 13 and 10. Tami Webster is majoring in general studies and hopes to enter the radiologic technology program. An online celebration!

Discover N.H. poets

In honor of National Poetry Month, the Center for the Book at the New Hampshire State Library will host an online celebration of New Hampshire poets and poetry. Each day in April the center will feature a different N.H. poet on its blog, Book Notes (nhbookcenter.blogspot.com). A variety of poets have signed up to participate in the celebration - many whose work is well known, and some who may be a wonderful new discovery. Put your reptile watching to good use

With spring comes your chance to get involved in reptile and amphibian conservation by taking part in the Reptile and Amphibian Reporting Program. RAARP is a volunteer-based activity, part of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program, in which people report sightings of reptiles and amphibians to help biologists determine the distribution of species in New Hampshire.
