With the arrival of spring, the annual food drive - sponsored by United Way of Merrimack County, the Letter Carriers of Greater Concord and the Capital Region Food Program - is fast approaching.

NHTI's Environmental Action Club is sponsoring an Electronics Recycling Day on Wednesday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

When surveyed, only 45 percent of high-school-age youth in Concord responded that they feel like they matter to people in their community.

The Concord Public Library spring hours are effective May 2 through June 26. Main branch hours are:

Mondays and Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Youth Fishing Day will be held on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Merril Park on Eastman Street. Admission is free.
