The New Hampshire National Guard held an event at the State Military Reservation on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day. The event featured Lieutenant Colonel David Mikolaities (as a guest speaker.

The United Church of Penacook, 21 Merrimack St., Penacook will be holding a roast pork supper on May 1 at 5 p.m. The buffet-style dinner will be $8, $4 for children. All are welcome.

One of our favorite nature photographers, Debbie LaValley, got this shot over the weekend. "I was over at my folks' house in Penacook and watching the crows eat old bread," she wrote.
