WorkReadyNH open house at NHTI Oct. 14

On Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 3 to 6 p.m., in Farnum Hall room 107, NHTI will hold an Open House for anyone interested in learning more about WorkReadyNH, a program which helps job seekers and career builders improve their skills.

WorkReadyNH provides 60 hours of classroom instruction in “soft skills” identified by employers as key to workplace success. Participants also practice for and can earn the National Career Readiness Certificate, an evidence-based, portable credential used in all 50 states in the hiring process to reduce hiring costs and ensure workplace success and retention.

The WorkReadyNH program at NHTI is available to New Hampshire residents who are at least 18 years old. Potential participants will be pretested in the areas of math, reading and critical thinking. The program is available at no cost to unemployed inpiduals, or to underemployed inpiduals working full- or part-time. Classes are being offered monthly.
