Registration open for Camp Spaulding camps

Nestled on 56 acres of forest overlooking the Contoocook River in Penacook, Camp Spaulding has been providing great summer adventures to kids from throughout New Hampshire since 1921. Operated by Child and Family Services of N.H., a statewide, private nonprofit organization, Camp Spaulding offers an affordable overnight camping experience to boys and girls, ages 8 to 14.

Camp Spaulding adventures include horseback riding, canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, hiking, swimming, field trips, special event and activity days, theater games, songs by the campfire, woodworking, and high and low ropes courses.

The 2014 season is comprised of four 2-week sessions as follows: June 30–July 11; July 14–25; July 28–Aug. 8; Aug. 11–22. Campers may attend one or two sessions per summer. Enrollment is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

Camp Spaulding is unique in its dedication to low and moderate income families. The cost for camp is adjusted to each family’s income on a sliding fee scale. Camperships (camp scholarships) are available for children from every region of the state. It is the philosophy of Camp Spaulding that every kid deserves camp.

Applications are now being accepted. For more information or to arrange for enrollment and campership support, visit campspaulding.org, or contact Child and Family Services’ Manchester headquarters at 1-800-640-6486.
