Falling Down

At 8 p.m., Officers Craig Levesque and Tom Hughes were sent to Loudon Road for a report of a drunk man falling down in the street.

According to Levesque's report, when he arrived he saw a black backpack on the sidewalk in front of 139 Loudon Road, but no one was around.

“I then observed a male lying down on the sidewalk about 50 feet from the bag,” Levesque wrote. “I walked up to the male and asked if he was all right. He responded, 'Yea, man.' ” The man was identified as Steven Bridge, 53; of Concord, Levesque wrote.

Levesque asked Bridge what he was doing on the ground, and he laughed, Levesque wrote. Levesque asked him if he had been drinking, he wrote, and Bridge continued to laugh. Levesque asked Bridge if he was hurt, and he said no, he wrote, then asked Bridge if he could get up and walk to Levesque's car. Bridge said sure, Levesque wrote, but couldn't get up without help from Hughes and Levesque.

“I then had to hold Bridge up in order for him to walk about 50 feet to my car,” Levesque wrote. “Bridge had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his mouth. He was unable to stand without help. He was clearly drunk.”

Levesque had Bridge stand at the trunk of his cruiser, he wrote. Levesque knew Bridge was homeless from past calls, he wrote, and asked him where he was staying, and Bridge said, 'Around.' “Bridge was drunk, unable to walk and had nowhere to go,” Levesque wrote. “At this time he was placed into protective custody.”

Hughes searched Bridge before placing him into the cruiser, Levesque wrote, and found a glass pipe with a strong odor of marijuana in his front pants pocket. Levesque asked Bridge about the pipe, but he didn't answer, he wrote, and then placed him under arrest and put him in handcuffs.

“Both Officer Hughes and I had to help Bridge into the rear of the police car due to his intoxication level,” Levesque wrote.

At the station, Levesque wrote, he found a plastic bag full of what seemed to be marijuana in Bridge's right front pants pocket. It was field tested, Levesque wrote, and proved to be marijuana.

Levesque then booked and processed Bridge, he wrote.

“Due to his intoxication level I was unable to fingerprint him because he could not stand without help,” Levesque wrote.

Bail was set at $500 personal recognizance when sober, and Bridge was taken to the county jail.

He was due in court Jan. 27.

Bye Bye cell phone

At about 4 a.m., Officer Almedin Dzelic was sent to a North State Street address for a report of a person banging on doors in the hallway. According to his report, dispatch told him it was a domestic argument in that building.

When Dzelic arrived, he wrote, Officer Dick Scott was already there and talking to a woman, who had her infant daughter with her, in the parking lot.

Dzelic talked to the woman, he said, who told him she called 911 because she'd had an argument with her boyfriend, Justin K. Hussey, 24.

She told Dzelic that when Hussey arrived home from work he woke her up and told her they needed to talk, Dzelic wrote, and that he was mad that some of their mutual friends had been at their apartment when he wasn't home.

The argument escalated, the woman said, and Hussey became visibly upset, Dzelic wrote.

She also told Dzelic that Hussey had been drinking before he woke her up, and that while they were in the living room he flipped a sofa over, and that she took her cell phone and tried to call her father, Dzelic wrote, but that Hussey took her cell phone and smashed it against a wall.

She told Dzelic that he then gave her his own cell phone to call her father, but she called 911, Dzelic wrote. She said there was no physical contact between them, Dzelic wrote.

Dzelic then talked to Hussey, who said that when he came home from work he had three or four beefs, and that before that he'd found out that one of his friends had been at his apartment with his girlfriend while he was at work, Dzelic wrote.

He told Dzelic that when he got home he talked to his girlfriend about it and they began to argue, and that he got so upset that he smashed her cell phone, Dzelic wrote.

Dzelic asked Hussey to take him inside the apartment and he did, Dzelic wrote, and inside was a cell phone broken into multiple pieces.

Hussey was then placed under arrest for domestic criminal mischief, Dzelic wrote, and Hussey was taken to the police station and processed.

Bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance, and Hussey was due in court Jan. 28.

A Bad Day

Officer Scott Fanjoy was sent to a domestic disturbance on North State Street. According to his report, when he arrived he was met by a woman who said her boyfriend, Shaune T. Milligan, 44, came home drunk today, and nothing was going right for him, so he started to trash the house.

The woman said Milligan threw stuff around the house and slammed the kitchen table against the wall, causing the sheetrock to crack and dent, Fanjoy wrote. Officer Steven Martel arrived, Fanjoy wrote, and Fanjoy asked him to speak with the woman while Fanjoy talked to Milligan.

Milligan was sitting on the living room couch, Fanjoy wrote. Fanjoy asked Milligan for his ID and he handed him a bank card with his name on it, Fanjoy wrote.

“I told Milligan he handed me a bank card and he started to argue with me, stating it was his ID,” Fanjoy wrote. “Milligan then got up and retrieved his non-driver's ID.”

Fanjoy asked Milligan what happened, and he said nothing happened, Fanjoy wrote. He said his girlfriend was blowing everything out of proportion, Fanjoy wrote, but he admitted to throwing things around the house.

“I asked Milligan if he slammed the table into the wall,” Fanjoy said. “Milligan said he pushed the table.”

“While speaking with Milligan,” Fanjoy wrote, “he had a grotesque odor of alcohol coming from his mouth and he was unsteady on his feet.”

Martel told Fanjoy that there was a dent in the wall by the kitchen table, Fanjoy wrote, and Milligan was placed under arrest for domestic related criminal mischief. As Fanjoy was placing Milligan into his cruiser, he wrote, he was told that Milligan had a marijuana pipe next to his wallet on the nightstand, and he was told to charge Milligan with possession as well.

Milligan was taken to the police station. Cash bail was set at $5,000, and Milligan said he couldn't make bail, Fanjoy wrote. He was taken to the county jail, and he was due in court the next morning.
